Hello,

After our morning safari and then lunch we left Gir National
Park and travelled to Velavadar National Park. an lodge which
are in grasslands.  The lodge is 3 years old.  the huts and rooms
were large and the bath tub in marble was almost large enough
to swim in.

Ver cool 7.00 a.m. start for our safari.  We had lots of luck -
striped hynea, nilgai and wolves.  After lunch we went to the
Blackbuck park which is so dry it is almost desert.  The blackbuck
is a striking, graceful animal and amused us with a display of
lekking.  We saw 3 blackbuck who had come off second best and
had been sent to coventry i.e. quite isolated from the herd and their
antlers had been severely damaged.

    Kings and Queens -   very sniffy.

If you look closely you can see that this nilgai is in need of surgery for a prolapse.
